Effects of different geometric patterns on free form gridshell structures

<p class="JIASSAbstract">Gridshells are commonly known as structures with the shape and rigidity of a double curvature shell consisting grid, not continuous surface. In recent decades, these have attracted significant attention. The impact various geometric patterns on free form gridshell is investigated here to demonstrate necessity collaboration between structural architectural characteristics in enhancing structure efficiency. To that goal, framework proposed where three shells first designed, then six formed them. main factors for evaluation gridshells decreasing steel weight an economic index displacement index, also, finite element method used structurally analyzing gridshells, generated compared each other based mentioned indices. For optimization process, approach suggested find most optimum gridshell, numerical results show efficiency alternative approach.</p>
